Motac’s in-house personnel include internationally recognised neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology and neuropsychology experts. As a company, we have unparalleled expertise in the fields of movement disorders, neuropsychology and cognition. The senior scientific staff at Motac have over 300 years of combined experience in active research in these fields.

Motac personnel have published widely in peer-reviewed literature. They have been responsible for several fundamental discoveries, including the elucidation of the underlying neural mechanisms in Parkinson’s disease and dyskinesias, the development of novel models and the identification of numerous new therapeutic targets. In-house staff include members of international research funding bodies and scientific journal editorial boards.
Our expertise and research capabilities are offered at several levels:

• We offer expert consultancy services to assist and advise with planning and designing preclinical research within our areas of special expertise. This includes advising on the most suitable model systems, scientific end-points and protocol designs.

• Laboratory-based research is undertaken flexibly, ranging from simple fee-for-service to risk-sharing collaborations. The majority of studies are performed in our state-of-the-art rodent and NHP facilities.

In addition, through our extensive network of clinical collaborators, Motac offers ready access to clinical opinion leaders and clinical trial specialists.
